Zelosport, the creators and marketing arm of the Finger Football game formally launched the National Finger Football League in 2010 with dozens of tournaments contested in multiple states across the USA. It was our intention from the beginning to partner with a widely recognized and well respected corporate sponsor to take this league to a national level. THAT TIME HAS ARRIVED! Zelosport and the NFFL are pleased to announce that White Castle is now the Official Restaurant of the National Finger Football League! "We feel that this is a natural fit for us. For 90 years White Castle has remained a family-owned restaurant and the NFFL promotes their game for the entire family to enjoy. The NFFL uses a 'slider' to replace the traditional paper football. Now the Home of the Original Sliders® welcomes the NFFL slider."

Spud Alford, founder and CEO of the parent company, stated that it was time that the beloved “paper football” concept had its own national platform so that enthusiasts could compete in one of the most recognized pastimes in America today. “I would guess that 95% of America’s population has at some time flicked a piece of paper or a pack of sugar across a table, whether in a lunchroom or a restaurant setting, hoping to score a touchdown by skillfully causing the object to rest with one portion of it hanging over the table’s edge. We simply took the concept to a whole new level.”

In the Zelosport version, the paper football has been replaced by a one inch “slider football” that is used for runs and passes as well as a small foam football for kicking field goals and extra points. According to Spud, “It is the only national competition to my knowledge where a child, a parent and a grandparent in the same family and of either gender can compete together with an equal chance at winning.”

Beginning in September 2011, the first of 12 White Castle Regional Finger Football tournaments will be held running through early December.
